Challenge
To encourage sustainable choices, the CO2HERO Marketplace app implemented personalized tracking to provide tailored recommendations, ensuring users see brands and products aligned with their preferences. This enhances engagement and simplifies discovery. Additionally, detailed sustainability information and a seamless redirection process to brand websites ensure users can make informed decisions and complete purchases smoothly.

Research
Activities: Conducted targeted user surveys and interviews with both businesses (B2B) and end consumers (B2C) to understand their needs and preferences. Focused on understanding how businesses present their sustainability efforts and how consumers choose sustainable products.
Tools: Utilized user feedback surveys, interviews, and data analytics tools to gather insights from both businesses and consumers on their sustainability priorities and challenges.
Ideation
Activities: Brainstormed concepts for personalized tracking and user engagement features tailored for both B2B and B2C users. Created detailed user flows and wireframes focusing on ease of navigation and engagement with sustainable choices.
Tools: Used Sketch for digital wireframes creation. Conducted collaborative workshops with stakeholders involved to refine ideas and ensure how to meet the needs of both groups - business owners and end-users.
Prototyping and Testing
Activities: Developed high-fidelity prototypes for new features such as the personalized recommendation system, detailed sustainability information sections, and business dashboards for sustainability reporting.
Tools: Created interactive prototypes using InVision and Sketch.

Rollout

Feedback highlighted the value of personalized recommendations, detailed sustainability information, and the importance of having a clear product CO2 footprint when available.
Decision: Based on the positive feedback the decision was made to fully implement the enhanced marketplace features.
